I found this while browsing today. Hell of a coincidence seeing as I was recommending some free apps to my friend here just last week. I always wanted a listing like this. This is so cool. And there are very useful apps in here.
Some of the apps on the list, I think are more important to point out.
There are lots more applications on this list. Look through them and you’re bound to get something that interests you, or replaces some app you’re not too happy with.
For those of you who have too much time on their hands, this would be a better place to go to. :)

Oh, as a Mac user, I DO use those. I use GIMP (although I still prefer Photoshop). I use NeoOffice, which is the Mac-native port of OpenOffice. I use VLC, which is THE best media player (strictly video-only) on the Mac.
Actually I had downloaded the entire package from SSS (Software for Starving Students) website :P
