According to this, this and this website, Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg are making three movies based on The Adventures of Tintin! Awesome!
Casting has already begun, although it would seem Jackson’s version will appear before Spielberg’s. The movies will be full CGI (sort of like Beowulf). Which I think, is better, since the artwork should then remain true. It would be kind of strange to see some live version of Tintin, particularly with that hair, running around the streets of Cairo.
Speculation on this website points to the following books being made into movies: The Secret of The Unicorn/ Red Rackham’s Treasure, and The Crab With The Golden Claws. Also, Andy Serkis (Gollum), seems to have been cast to play Captain Haddock.
There’s a blank page up on IMDB right now for a 2009 movie titled “Tintin“. Long wait. Oh well, maybe I’ll give the books a read through to pass the time.
